I animated my robot. Click on the picture to watch the movie - it's a 2.5Mb avi file. You'll need the DivX codec installed to play it.

hahah

that's so cool!

but the right foot's (robot's left) claw shadows make it look like his foot is floating just above the surface

nice design on the bot tho

are you planning to use this robot for a longer animation? would love to see it in battle with some mean bots :]

Yeah, I know the shadows are bad. I just whipped it up as a sort of a joke. Glad you liked it.

Tha little version is cute. Not as terrifying as the truck-sized relative.

The robot doesn't really blend in a lot with the surroundings. I like the "naughty pet" type of behaviour it has hehe.

mucha: after you isntall divx from the downloaded file you have to go to the start menu and run the "run me first" app, which finishes the installation.

Just thought that -might- be your problem.

Cool stuff. Nice composite. I need to work on that stuff too. He (the bot) looks much much better in "pet" form like most have said. I love the lil tapping of his toes, great personality.

I thought the laser thing was sorta unsparkily, although realistic. If you wanna go for eyecandy, maybe add some pyrotechnics to the barrel like a muzzle flash or some sort of wave to the lasers itself. Or, maybe have the laser totally blind the camera so it turns red...thus assuming you were totally blown away rather than just falling off your chair.

Yes, do another one please!

This is one of the cutest animation I've seen in a long time.

Maybe have a louder clunking sound when falling off the chair?

Do more of the lil guy wrecking havoc around the house, terrorising pets, etc etc.
