saripol: This is absolutely beautiful! I think that the pic could do with some really strong highlights in places, maybe on the nose, cheek bones and the eyebrows.

Very cool indeed.

Looks great, and I don't mind the blurry unifinished look about the lower part, I think it suits the piece.

Oi!! Apo khabar! =) tu Bini ke 'tau Girlfriend hehe.. eh eh.. comelnyaa.. wahh..
(oi, howdy! Issat your wifey or GF? She's cute.. )

Oi.. Great painting.. u need to define her features more with more detail.. and i agree with ceenda.. defining more highlights and would definitely work. Oi! u posted this on the finished? aiyah.. its pretty much a work in progress... comon.. dont stop hehe. u havent finished the hair and her dres.. and the background as well.. dont shelf it so quickly. This could turn out to be an outstanding protrait piece.

Hanya saya punya dua Sen.. $0.02RM

It looks like you stilted the right half of the face up; it seems like its pulled up from the face (the eye is a little higher than the left eye and the mouth is higher on the right side). Otherwise i like the picture, its almost seems like you caught the person while they were moving and thier head stayed steady looking at you. I dunno heh.

saripol: let me start out by saying this is a great peice of work. I do however agree with most of the comments above... especially about the highlights... I feel that some stronger shadows would help too..
I did a small overpaint to give the idea.

Im sure that side by side you can see what Im talking about. I added a stronger highlight to the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin and put stronger hue, matching the shirt color inder the eybrows and the bottom of the nose.

her left eye needs to be a little bigger, and a lot lower.

This is coming along very nice. I like the colors. Below, I have thrown something together to be used only as reference in certain cases. All I did was copy pasted her left eye in order to get a reference of size. Of course things could be different according to shadows. Its not suggested to copy and paste in the final piece, but sometimes if the head isn't too foreshortened, I copy the good eye and lay it next to the eye I need to redo in order to get a better understanding of size and shape. Most of the time, what one eye does, the other does also.

Just an Idea

If her right eye is the better one, then just use that one and then use the correct shading.

Peace
