ender's game....good book,typical sci-fi, big suprise ending, won't tell you.
dune, of course.
and anything by Heinlein!
Carl Sagan is good too...it's got the "sci" minus the "fi" part. |

yeah, i forgot that. i really enjoyed hyperion. but the fall of hyperion was fucking horrible bullshit. i couldn't force myself to read past 100 or so pages. but then again, the 100 or so pages had nothing going on in them, so i really don't know. but hyperion is definitely, and i mean definitely worth reading.
i just wish the story would just end where the first book stops, where they're walking down to [beep].
molecule, spoil me some beans on endymion, is it anything like hyperion? |

Panda... telling someone there is a surprise ending is almost as bad as telling someone the ending anyway. Either way there is no surprise now :P
My mom always does that. She said, "Somebody told me <insert movie here> has a really good surprise ending!" Then I end up sitting through the whole flick thinking about what crazy thing they are going to throw at me towards the end. Bah, drives me crazy, hehe. |

true.......
scratch that.....there is a moderatly insignifigant infinitesimal hardly noticeable suprise ending at the end of the book, Ender's Game. |

The Series goes Hyperion - Fall of Hyperion - Endymion - Rise of Endymion (or what ever the next book was heh). The Endymions were really good i liked them a whole lot. Definately worth the read. ! |

Yo Starman!
if you want some really good written sci-fi
reading that makes you go 'wtf?!' try
'The Empire of Isher' by A. E. van Vogt.
it's a compilation of 'The Weapon Shops of Isher'
and 'The Weapon Makers'.
those stories were written in 1949 and 1951.
for more info check out www.mmedia.is/vanvogt/
