Excellent job. Only Crit I would have is that the cord looks a bit flat near the top.

Wow thanx HoodZ, Glad you like it. I'll be putting together a tut soon. I'm glad to hear there is interest in this sort of thing... I'll post a link with some new art when it's up.
Grins,

I assume you are refering to the reflected table lamp off the wood grain, no that is just a gradient b/w circle on its own layer set to lighten... (or soft light or something) with a transparency of about 40. If this is not what you were referring to I'll be happy to explain how I did each part 100% in Illustrator. Actually in Illustrator 10, a vector lens flare IS an included feature, though I wouldn't have used it here...

On second thought, it occurs to me that you mean the reflection on the mouse... So heres how I did it. I used multiple blends from the highlight shape to a fully transparent shape, I think I used about 5 steps. You can in #3 that I outlined the blend shapes in black. Hope this helps ya...

Johnwun, I can't believe how photo-realistic you can get with Illustrator.

Btw, are you from the city Pacifica in California?? If you are I live in the next city over from ya.
