I saw it today and it's a pretty awesome film. Great costume design and the scenery of Rome was well created. Clever plot too, it was action packed, but still had depth.
Actually, it rates in my top 10 for sure. I got worked up in the fight scenes and was almost cheering.......even though it's obvious the hero would win. That's when you know a movie is good.

I saw it this past Sunday, and enjoyed it immensly as well. The ending of it kinda threw me for a loop though, I wasn't expecting it. Also, I saw on T.V. that some of Proximo's scenes had to be done digitally because the actor that portrayed him (his name slips my memory) died during the making of the film and they hadn't finished the scenes. Regardless I couldn't tell which scenes those were. I agree with you... definately in my top 10. |

I didn't saw the movie but I've heard of it! I know some people (on the net) from Perth who saw Gladiator, they said it rock! Like stale bread...
I also love Russell Crowe in "Romper" Stomper", an Australian movie...

with a lot of experience (Dr Zhibago,El Cid,Conan the barbarian,I.j and the last crusade,...).

I thought overall it was an ok movie. Nice action when a guy comes barreling out of a gate to meet Mr. Mace. eewwww. I thought it was all screwed up. What's up with the new Caesar falling in love with his sister?! That's just not right. It's all screwed up! Then you have the drag queen at the Colleseum. . . ok whatever I'm rambling now :P... ah ha! bordom strikes again.
