very nice! I agree with probus on the lighting, but i think that is minor in comparison to two things with the eyes. the center parts of the eyes are not pointed in the same direction so it sorta looks like he is a bit crosseyed. the other thing is his left (our right) eye is set in too deep, like his eyebrow area almost swallows the eye where the right |(our left) does not look nearly as deep.

the funny thing is the eyes look so nice that thats where my attention was drawn too, so I picked on them first. otherwise awsome looking eyes though.

Excellent!!!!

A little more planning and/or sketching could get you really, REALLY far!

Nice job, looking forward to seeing more

Modified version:

Probus - Many thanks for the critique - I've tried to fix a few of the things you mentioned, but I can't believe I missed the blue lighting on the neck - cheers for pointing that out!

JickyJak - Thanks, and funnily enough, his ear from that angle actually looks completely normal in reality, but I thought the slightly wonky ear was one of the T1000's defining features and put it in anyway

visualsiege - Thanks also - I've tried to dig his right eye out a bit, but with little success. I must admit I can't really see the cross-eyedness, but either way I daren't change them now - I always have trouble painting eyes and these were no exception

Sukhoi - Thanks

great work, ditto with the knowing it was t1000.. i think the changes youve made work damn well. i think the reasoning behind the eyes looking crosseyed is one, the fact that if you look at them too long they do go crosseyed :P - possibly because i go crosseyed thinking how impossible it would be for myself to do that. also its the angle hes looking at, which in itself i find a rather hard angle to get my eyes looking.

'ello,

I've been lurking for a while now and I thought I'd finally throw an image up for any comments/criticism - both are welcome.

It's supposed to be the T-1000 from T2 - reference was used, but I tried to avoid just copying directly, instead going off what I thought he looked like for the most part (as a result it probably looks nothing like him to anyone bar me ).

Cheers,

-Andy

except for a few anatomical issues, i think its very good. i knew it was the t1000 before i read your comment, so i think it looks like him.

the lightning on the chin should be a bit to the left maybe, some blue-ish light on the neck, some refining on the right part of the nose, the ear, and on the right eye.

hope my critique was useful, good job!

At first I didn't recognize him, but its been so long since I have seen that movie. The ear is what really identifies him for me now that I recognize him. I really like the lighting and color in this pic.

Cheers

As soon as I saw the eyes I knew who it was. Very cool I think the likeness is good. Very interesting color too!
