Reflection as in to think quietly and calmly, to express a thought or opinion resulting from reflection.
Anyway, though this is actually a rough draft for a soon to be e-painted final I thought that this makes a good pic just as it is.
Does anyone know what this style/technique is called? Characterized by thin scribbled brush strokes that when viewed from a distance the scribble blurs together and becomes unnoticeable.
All I used was a 1 and 2 pixel airbrush @ 100% opacity and a fatter brush for the hair.
Original size was 3923x6000
Any C&C welcome

I dont think there is a "name" for the technique, but it sure looks like pencil to me. I have some critiques if you want to hear them, I will wait till your ok before saying anything though. |

the crotch is too high up and the smooth hair doesn't go with the scratchiness of the rest. also, there isn't a lot of tonal variation, not enough shadows I'd say. however, this is really a beautiful drawing. |

It's called PRINTING or ETCHING, etching being the very old name.
Very cool drawing you have there, the girl looks incredible.
My only sugestion is to work more on the tree, it looks bad. |

Well Lomi, may as well give it to me. I just hope it isn’t that bad
However, it has been suggested in the past that her forearm is a little too short, but each time I try to extend it even a little bit it makes the whole arm look too long.
The tree may look better without the “leaves” and just be a dead tree or something.
The crotch….. I’ll see what it looks like lowered.
Major reconstruction on her may be too difficult seeing as I have already flatted all her layers, but if something is real bad and needs it I’ll try.
Thanks so far ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

looks good.. the technique might be called scribbling or cross-hatching. |
