Hiya.
Took some of the input, and done this.
I`ll polish this one until I get all thumbs up here;-) as a little experiment.Well..that might take forever, but keep at atleast abit longer than usual.
I present it in a bit higher res, and have not changed to old one, if you want to check my previous post to compare.

Well, I think this is absolute awesome... but your looking for crits so I'll present mine

I think the big "problem" is that the light source is somewhat undefined. There seems to be a moon glowing through the trees behind her yet she isn't backlit, she is lit from the front... yet no trees around her show any lighting from the front.

Either way I think its a beautiful image

Well, I looked again and she is a little backlit... but she still obviously lit from the front too. *giggles*

I like this one a lot better veb. This one definetly works.

Have you been studying Royo lately? I think thats right. It reminds me of his work.

The only thing I might change (well I wouldnt change anything as its already done enough) but you dont have to reveal all of the form of her fingers. The out stretched pose is nice though. Very dynamic. I might also want to make the background rougher as it still looks a little lower resolution then foreground or smoother -- personal opinion.

i liked it a lot, but her hand, and her face could be better...

Actually, it`s my regular style, with a hint of Royo...I think it`s because I`m using a color he tends to use alot...
Yep..the light problem is indeed a problem maybe the light behind the trees must go...
Well, revision 3 in a few days I guess..

I originaly posted this in the first one not knowing that a second one was started.

Hi Veb nice to see you back!

I think that this image is real nice and background is especialy interesting.
The only crits that I realy want to stress is that the figure dosen't look very grounded and that she needs to have knees. The leg on the right is a over to far and she looks like she is goint to fall over.

Here is my repaint with fixed legs:

The plants in the foreground right look out of place. They're too sharp, flat, and green for the rest of the image.

vebjorn this painting is finished. It is the best I have seen in a while. You can't make them all happy, I'd call it a wrap.

Peace

Ya cyber now that I look those plants need help. I just put them there real quick for composition.
But dude I think that you missed the point that I was trying to fix the legs!
One thing that I realy like about Vebs work is the nice backgrounds as well as the figures. Everything looks good as a whole. At least now I know that I need to learn how to paint plants better!

Mintox, vebjorn! She looks like she could kick some serious arse now!

No many poeple go to the trouble of fixing the pic and reposting it, so thank you for going to the effort. It's always great watching an image evolve!

The only crit I have is that her right hand looks too stiff.

Great work.

She looks really good, a nice style. The trees in the background don't seem to correspond to your light source (it doesn't touch them, as they are solid colors). Also if you brought on stronger highlights (as the light seems pretty bright), it might make her stand out more and the image would look more realistic overall, i think.

Hmm.. in my opinion the thing that is making it 'uncomfortable' is the size of her head. Am I wrong in thinking that it was way too big? If so, I'm a goof

Otherwise, I'm stunned with the composition, mood, and technique. Awesome no matter what you do to it.

I`ve actually shrunk her head once, and I`m considering shrinking it more. I`m also going to define the knee area a bit, although I know, if this makes a cover of some sorts,(I guess it will)`the leg area is bound to be hidden or cropped out..these things kinda make me lazy.
But I should define her knees for my own good. New update with several more things fixed/added;-)
This whole " evolution" process with many crits, will make the result alot better, so again, thanks;-)

Btw, I also think some of you guys will learn something from this too. Even when something looks done(although in this case, the first one didn`t really), just because you think things are done, it can probably become better with a little help from more eyes.
