The blue / purple one, though the other is more unique and less generic sci-fi coloring.

Yeah have to say I find the pink one more interesting. The blue one is good too but it's sell clear whats going on and theres no sense of a ground surface or background.

Row.

I think they strengthed eachother.
A tranquil (spelling), and a spook one. Also I like the lighted parts on the blue one, because the light doesn't eminate from regular lightsources. They a more glow in the dark type thingies. One would not nececarily get this impression had it not been for the daylight version.

You know what I mean, or am I rambling?

Hmm, that's a tough one. I think I am going to go with the pink because it seems to give the column more weight. The blue one almost makes it look transparent to me (which is cool for a scifi pic though) Grrrrrr, screw it, I really like them both and can't decide.

What animation are you working on?

I'm going with the pink on this one because the blue looks... well... inverted. Theres just something a bit strange about it (which could also be good I suppose) but the pinkish one is more convincing.

I think that if the blue version were worked on a little more that it would be very cool though. Maybe bring out some glowing areas around the lights?

But as it stands now, I like the first

I have to go with the blue one because it reminds me of Quake 2. It has to be my favorite game for visuals ever. Right up there with Darkseed and Metroid.
