Too much ground i think. May be better if 'camera' is move3ed up to contain more sky, because they're looking up at the skies.. and stuff |

Like said b4: your picture looks like your intention was only to show off some landscape. You know, in the movie they did that "standing-at-the-cliff-and-holding-the-lill-cat-towards-the-sky-although-this-could-get-dangerous-in-no-time" thing to make the ape present the baby lion to the jungle beasts at the bottom of the mountain.

Definitely need to move the whole thing up, the ground is overtaking the pic. Also, where the rock meets the grass is a little plain. You should work a lot more shading into that area. I also think the characters need to stand out more. Make the light hit them a little harder, bring them out a little, try to move the focus onto them and away from the underside of the rock. |

Definitely move it up and get those figures stand out more! I like how it is painted and think it got a nice feel to it, but those 2 small creatures just get lost as they are way too small. If you insist on keeping the wide plains, put at least a bit more texture on it as it looks too smooth in comparison to the rest.
Id also make the broken up clouds-sunrays brighter to make it a bit more "godly". |

I would move it up a tad, and add animals on the green ground part. Overwise he is going "look at my lion you trees and sky!!", or somethng..
Also maybe add more environment things to the bottom of the rocks, like plants, water, rocks? To make it seem more natural. |

thanks for the replies everyone. orignally, i had planned to draw a lot of animals in on the ground, hence the angle. about half way through, i came to the conclusion that i wouldnt be able to draw all the animals and get it done before Christmas. so, i compromised.
im not that good of a painter, so thanks for all the encouraging replies. |
