A relatively quick mood piece...I tried to convey a mood with just one colour.
I drew this for someone in Sweden, so I put the writing in Swedish. If I didn't mess up horribly, it says: "No, no, not my bird!" |

If they're was a ever a reason for moderator's to judiciously delete posts, it would be now...
But anyway, I think the bird is almost lost in the monochrome (the perils of using one colour for emotional effect, I'm sure). On the other hand, that's probably intentional. It also has a certain mood about it, which for a mood piece is suitably moody..
buh..

Wow, you have built a nice texture going from bottom to top. The bird is nicely rendered, although the shade of his beak has made it blend in a little too much.
But I think you have captured the mood nevertheless.

I think the beak in overlapped by the left wing, you can't see it because its obscured.
Nice piece |

Teaweed - Seems your wish was granted...no sign of the rude post any more. Yes, perhaps the bird is a little lost...I wanted it to melt into the light, though. Not sure if I want to change it or no.
Aber & Indian Prophet - Yes, the beak IS under the wing.... Maybe the very top of it should have been darker, though, since it is in view.
jabber - Thanks!
sweetpea - Thank you...that's exactly what I was going for! |
