Here's a painting i recently finished for a holiday gift. This is a fairly quick one.. I think it took around 4 hours total. For now i'm considering it done.. but i wouldn't mind hearing some critiques.
Made in Painter 6.

This is a very subtle piece....but its gorgeous.Maby texture the rocks more?

the rocks dont look wet. thats all i can see, but it looks great otherwise. |

I love the forms you've avhieved with the lighting of the rocks. Only thing that seems missing is a horizon - it seems a clear enough day for one. |

Thanks for the critiques all... very useful suggestions.
Soulfuct - I agree the rocks could use more texture, especially the ones in the foreground. Thanks for the kind words on my website stuff.
Jabber - good point about the lack of wetness on the rocks.. I think I need a few more shiny highlights to take care of that.
Switch - I fuzzed out the horizon to give it better atmospheric depth.. but you are right - on a clear day like that the horizon would probably be more defined.
