hadn't drawn in a couple of weeks. the decision to make all my gifts for everyone pulled me away from drawing and plunged me into a mad frenzy of knitting wool hats and throwing dozens of bowls in pottery. i just had to get out and do something different. what do you guys think?

I love them! Not the most exciting subject matter but you captured it very well despite that. Very vibrant, beautiful colors |

heh.. I never understodd what possess a person to paint things like... produce. Not to take away from your works, they are very nice...And this isn't directed towards you in any way... It's just that with so many things to paint, why do people paint stuff like that? heh. it's just amusing to me. |

Dave - Painting anything is important. Surely someone who has been registered for a year has heard, "Paint from life!" more than once. Not everyone has human models on hand... but I know that I personally always have onion and garlic. And then of course there are just some people that like the more rustic look of simple items, especially to hang in their kitchen. My best friend's kitchen is filled to the brim with red apple stuff... certainly not MY choice of things to hang on thing wall, but somebody out there likes it. Hmmm... makes me think of my floral photography. |

thanks for all the replies!
Jezebel: it's funny you say that, they're christmas presents for my mother, intended to hang in her kitchen. she's been dropping hints for years that she wants something of mine for the kitchen.
monkey: the radishes were delicious. best part about food still lifes; eating them when you're done. *giggle* |
