This is awful. This is REALLY awful. It isn't something I'd ordinarily do, or even something I know how to do. It's a movie. It was filmed entirely on my couch. It rivals Plan 9 from Outer Space for sheer...ineptitude. It has subtitles that don't match what the mouths are saying. It has bad lighting effects.

It has one redeeming quality. It is, I am told, quite amusing.

So if you want to download 10 MB of rubbish, here it is:

A Cyborg Fairy Tale, or Attack of the Bad Moustachioes!

Hmm, it's nice quality work but seems to be stretched out. On Skidrow scale i rate it on the level of burned out firebarrel!

Mmmm... Y'know, I'd like to say I've just wasted a fair portion of my life, but I can't. I enjoyed it. I absolutely cacked myself laughing when "...and he did" came up. Very French kinda SBS material (Aussie's will know what I mean. It's a multicultral 'other stuff' tv channel)

If you do make another, I'm afraid I will have to come over and tie you down though. *grinz*

A couple of people on another forum mentioned that the link on Gorblimey wouldn't work for them--if you can't view the movie, try: http://www.rattysghost.com/fairytale3.avi .

I've never seen anything like this from anyone here!...I love it! It so reminds me of those old B&W silent films. The ones that go really fast, but yours is the opposite and quite slow, which totally adds a twist. And the extent that you went to, hehe, to portray the characters, the slanty headed rat. Ahhh hehehe...i love the whole feel of it, good stuff

Much respect

Well, youve got a good timewaster on those SLOW sunday nights. MAKE A MOVIE! I wish I had the Creativity for that! Great job. Try to not look at the screen so much to see how you look and avoid the MOnkey Mouthing hehe.

Not from personal experience but did you SPIN THAT RAT to get him to lean to the side like that? lol GREAT JOB!

Hehe..that was great...and for the jaw waggling, that's what made me laugh the most! However, the opening credits are ungodly long, and again with the whole looking at the screen the whole time...other that that it wss awesome and really original!

Hmm.. do you read Angus Oblong's children's book? Anyways, the movie is pretty entertaining, thanks.

Now that was disturbing... Though somewhat entertaining - wish it had sound or music.

Kind of reminds me of that movie Pi.

Thanks to everyone who answered to this...I was surprised to see that so many people would actually wait for a 10 MB download! I appreciate all your comments, especially since I've never done anything like this before, and had no idea what I was doing.

Some answers to people's ?s:

PlantMan: I don't know about that jaw-waggling...it just seemed like a good idea at the time. It looks very dorky in retrospect, though.

Poxin: I'm glad you got that impression from it--it was supposed to be vaguely reminiscent of bad old silent movies...cheap Chaplin knockoffs.....

uneasy: Sunday nights? Actually, believe it or not, this took weeks. I had to edit my couch out of the background frame by frame. (It was entirely filmed on my couch.) About the rat, no, of course I didn't spin it, poor thing! It had an ear infection when it was a baby, and its head has been on sideways like that ever since.

Golongria: Yeah, you're right about those credits. I made them in Flash, and they slowed down when I exported them to .avi. I am Flash-illiterate, and have NO clue why.

shamhead: Oh, I DID eat it...it was very tasty.

Ahcri: No, I can't say I did read it...I'll look for it at the library.

Bare Bonez: I wanted to add some sound, but my sound card is broken, and I didn't want to steal someone else's SFX or music.
