Beautiful, as usual.

You are really good at using perspective to your advantage. I don't think I've seen someone render illustrations from so many different vantage points. Foreshortening is a difficult concept to master, but you do it so well. I'm always impressed with your work. Keep it up, please!

mmm sweet!

i like the way you play with light/shadow in such a simple style. it definetely brings your characters alive.
i'm not familiar with this kind of style, so sorry if i can't give any other input. keep up the good work.

Those remind me of the Finnish cartoon 'Mmmil' (dunno from where to find images, sorry), i.e. very nice style and quality. Well done!

aww, so beautiful!! should this be a whole story? its cool with all the slightly different faces but the same over-all feeling in every pic

nice shading, especially in pic 3, and pic 5 is my second favorite.

answer to your question in your last tread some time ago: yes thanx, i'm fine too just a little bit busy at the moment.
are you still in austria, or maybe germany, or back to norway?

Olve, the first one ist just so beautiful. Gotta love the feeling it shows. Incredible expression on the faces, so subtle, yet so meaningful. Is that all Photoshop ?
Love 'em all.

It looks a bit Disney for my tastes, but Olve's work has this flow to it that I just cannot grasp. Everything just works and...flows. I think some people are born with a natural ability to draw expressive, natural movement and others like myself are stuck wth stilted, rigid looking figures. I honestly wonder if a person can actually learn to draw with such gestural-thingy flowingness goodness from scratch? Hmmm...

Thanks for your nice words!
Marvel: Haven't seen it....
Sock: Hehe. The faces.... Well, I've got 1.5 week to illustrate four stories (looks like I'll pick only two now; stressed), in my spare time, so doing complex model sheets and designs is out of the question. The style of the whole thing even changed throughout the proccess, so I had to go back and redo some of the earliest ones.
And, yes, I'm in Norway right now, going to Austria on the 18th and probably start working in Munich around February. So there you go! See you around.
horstenpeter: They're scanned pencil roughs colored in Photoshop.
Nathan: I'm an animator educated the Disney way, so that probably explains the look. S**t, I didn't want that. Just happened.

I tried to find an example of the forementioned comic. Here's what I came up with:

http://www.luontoliitto.fi/nuukuusviikko/Kuvat-paperinkierratys-a4.jpg

That one is some 20 years old so the style may not be as refined as with the newer ones, hope it still gives you an idea.

I didn't take the time to read the intro. If you don't illustrate children's
books, you should! great job!
