Nice! The only thing I can really see that bugs me is the blurriness of the hair. Sharpen up the top part, and methinks to shall be perfect

Maybe clean up the hands as well, they dont look nearly as clean as the rest of the lines, but it does look really great otherwise.

HOLY SHEET!

Thats really good. Fantastic rendering skills. The anatomy of the upper body, especially the neck and right shoulder / arm kinda bugs me though.

I agree with the above suggestions about rendering sharpness, some areas look a bit ignored.

I am really impressed by this pic, you are a winner already!

ditto drbang.

I like the floor.. Is it done in a 3D program??

The hands could need some more work though..

That is seriously badass. I love the guy on the right. And like some others suggested, the hands could be tightened up a little.

I don't normally go for fanart... but... uh... damn. this is nice.

the face on the right is particularly nice-i remember it from your other post. did you have to dig up a lot of screens from the game for reference?

hope you win

I hope and guess you win..

Take care, Oscar

nice... face kinda reminds me of Jo Chen.
I agree on the hands, but also, the head looks a bit small on that body.

And now for some more some replys.

DiXter: No it's entirely painted in PS, though I did draw a B/W tiling pattern of flooboards and then used Maya to quikly render it as a reference grid in order to get it perspective correct. So I did use 3d a little , or i clould have used PS's "transform" but it gives an askew and distorted result.
The floor is painted in several layers (as if it would be a shader for a 3D program: Specularity, diffuse, reflection an one for the cracks.

Manik Monkei: Yes I did digg alot for references. But they were of very poor quality, so I hade to scrutinize and compare them closely to get an understanding of the details. I really whanted to make the gamecharacters justice.

Duncan: I checked here out. Some very nice images. The head is maybe to smal but I whant him to look heroic.

Tekken is my favorite fighting game ever, although i suck at it..

But anyway the image is awesome in all aspects especially his "I'm going to kick your a**" stance

Great job!

about the heroic thing the size of the head wouldnt matter, what would is more the pose you give him,
the size of the head is still kind of small, and it mostly affects the age of the charecter (young people have hands and heads too big for their body)
try making the colors in his face more intense... adding more blood to his face, in addition, but mainly just make the head a slight bit bigger and it'll be perfect

If he really is ready to rock, as it were, those knees could use a little more 'bounce'.
But I guess it's a little late.

Good luck
