The colours and the motion blur are mint in Gordillo's pic.
Is it alright to post 3D stuff here? |

Hey man, Im just pointing out a consistency thing here. Your pics are AWESOME. but in gordillos, there is a red laser, rebel alliance ships trade mark laser color was red and the imperials was green. That is a rebbel alliance ship being shot at with a red laser, wich leads me to think it is being shot at by another rebbel ship, and why would they be doing that? Just thought I would point that out. |

Not x-wings, but some sf stuff that I did 8 to 10 years ago... Probably using Photoshop 3 and a Kurta tablet..
Not a space ship, but the young lady got there via a space ship

Ah, not correct at all
If you look at little starfighter, then its the truth, but im sure StarDestroyer and other ships like this are able to fire in red.. dunno why, but im sure they do.
Also the x-wing could be attacked by a pirate.
@first Pic
oh, well, but i think the cylinders with the cross within(how they called?) looks not correct ... they seem to look at you instead of looking inline with the ship.. |

Well, I did it a while back, but my current schedule doesn't allow too much for personal art.
Anyway, here ya go. It's a space frigate. Markers, guache, inks, colred pencils, & spray paint.

Here are a couple of stills for a little 6-minute video I made
back in high school (1995).
The X-Wing Toaster and the ToastIE Fighter..
And: a brief clip.

fleabrain: aahahahah the abduction thingie is great!
Norling: Did you edit the image after you render? Cause the surface looks real nice in the first one.
Kig: The ship design is awesome dude. Two thumbs way up. |

No post editing. Just good textures. The textures was made in photoshop by painting spots of black paint and then smudging them into the right shape. Adding grain to the ma is important becouse it kills some of the smooth "cg-feeling". |

some critic...
why don't you invent a new space ship, rather than an x wing. just copying I think, even though it is really nice.
animation master sucks, sorry. but nice work.

Here's something I've been working on here-and-there over the last year. It is modelled in Hash's Animation:Master which uses "patches" instead of polygons. Just have a bit more texturing to go and then I'm going to give it a good "trench run" and see what it looks like.

tilman: I've got plenty of original ship designs. Since the topic of the forum was "Show us your X-wing" I thought it was appropriate. No one else has made an A:M model of an X-wing available for download that I've found but you can find scads of them for Lightwave and 3DSM. Just wanted to do something to contribute.
everyone else: thanks for the encouragement and replies. I was very impressed with Norlings models as well as the 2D designs. the other stuff on his website rocks too! |
