I did a copy with acrylics (16*20 inches //40*50cm ) of an oilpainting from a polish artist named Jacek Malczewski.
The original paintings name is "Maria Balowa as death" (translated from polish)

It's the death sitting and reading the obituary in newspaper(note: see the scythe in the background? )

I had a picture from a book as reference and that's a bad scan of it (colors = )

And here are some figure drawings
I already posted in the figure drawing thread
of joachim-
I would like to know which style you like best( regardingless of the quality of the picture)
Thanks

is this an old lady? we've had a 60 year old female model.... interesting to draw... anyways I like this one because you use lines which squiggle around and give the figure a texture which might be found in an old person's skin...
in contrast to this one http://silber.monoid.net/Nr-17.jpg
with it's straight paralel lines which feels as if the skin is filled up and plump.

mucha: thanks- certainly it will affect my future work but but I will stay away from copying the style of someone else .

geelimp: glad you like -my biggest fear was that I failed at the arm completly(it was the most difficult one to do)
-I posted the original one too btw

shahar2k : thanks for taking time looking at the figure drawings: yes the first one is an old lady though not that old

more?
