I got bored and rushed it. Didn't aim for anything at all - began as a quickie.
the cauldron could use a touch-up ... but i'm bored. the bg is a little boring too .. ehm. well. okay. i'll work on this tomorrow. |

Your book has a few perspective/proportion issues I believe, but I love the concept you have going on here. Great colour scheme too. I think it would add interest if you had the book shedding a few pages, but that might get a bit more active than you wish. It would also probably add interest if we could see into the cauldron a bit. Also the slag pouring out of it has no body to it, it just goes straight through the lip there, it should probably look more as if it is pouring over the edge. Love the face that you didn't put any eyes into the venerable ostrich guy there. The texturing is awesome too. I think the low intensity background works well for this piece if you play up the foreground elements a bit more as previously suggested. Have fun!
P.S. What are the books about? |

Eerily cool as usual. Only comment would be that the bird's body is getting a bit lost in the background shapes - it's confusing to the eye.

some more textures would of been nice, everything looks abit too smooth for my liking. But still, nice pic, like the birds head. |

this is really nice.
the composition is a bit too chaotic and unbalanced- basically a bunch of bright spots on a dark background- i think you should unify some elements- either by light or color.
also- that melting pot down there doesn't seem quite as hot as i imagine it to be.. some more saturated reds in that color transition might look better.
the head is absolutely stunning. beautiful shading and texture. |

Uh... sorry, I felt inspired -_-'
Something just told me that a raven would fit in there *heh* (yes, it's supposed to look like a raven >_< )
(unfinished)
Do you have any other page than the Epilogue gallery? |

Awesome as usual. I've always loved your pictures, and this newer style is even better than the old. |

great works. love your style. makes me gloomy and disturbed.
the idea behind this pic is also very creative. the pic seems telling a story.
do you really have any story behind this pic?
(school sucks or something like that? hehe) |

I think it's finished .. ?
Tell me if there's something that needs improvement.
Thanks to everyone for compliments and critiques. My ego is inflated now.
Gerbil - Added a title to the book. Thanks for the crits.
Palladia - Tasaiset pinnat johtuu siit ett m olen laiska. Oliko J.Palmukin sitten ? en tied ?
Suma - Thanks. Hopefully better now ?
Cos - You're right. But I'm lazy :/ Anything particular that needs more texture now ?
Bilbo - Sounds like a bad excuse, but my color profile is a bit weird - and the darker shades might be a bit off on a different color setup .. then again, there's always room for improvement. Thanks
Vampyroteutee-- erm. -
Solayna - the pic is not showing ? There's a link to my homepage in my signature.
Splitsoul - erm. okay.
Tinusch - yeah, I remember you back in the good ole' days
Sandhu - Dunno. Not when I was scribbling it. Weird.. I even intended to do just some eye-candy and ended up with something like this .. well, it's not very 'high art', or too meaningful, so it's not a total failure

Wow, it looks a lot better now and it didn't even look bad to begin with! Origin of Species hehe, nice pick. My only complaint now is something I forgot to comment on earlier bleh stupid me was that the way the arches go into the corners is mmmmm just bothersome. That's all! You know, it looks almost like something Brom would do ... |
