Peon not half bad, especially for firsts

what are those done in?
btw you should try lightening your lines a bit, currently you use heavy rough textures which distract from the form of the model, allso the sketchy lines kind of blur the form further, if you wanna try doing really thick line, try making at least one edge of the line represent the form and the other edge be random (so that the inner part of the line for example stops at the form itself)

this lets you put in a lot more detail too

I apologize for the weird color these turned out; cameras without flash in a dim room turn out some pretty lame results..

Sorry they're blurry, too lazy to set up a tripod, and it's dark in here...

These are all 2-3 years old...

hey nice life drawings

I wouldn't say life drawing is the highest form of art either...

It's a great thing to learn to try and get good at, maybe even become masterful in it.

I've seen some really amazing life drawing at my school. I am trying to get better myself, I want to learn more on anatomy and the muscles.

I have homework to do, so i'm going to leave now...haah i love the forums too much

structure, movement, and line quality ! woohoo

very cool.

There must be something in the water in Sweden.

Why are there so few Japanese artists here?

Hehe, dunno about the water, but i can explain why there are so few japanese artists here(or relatively few asians on english-language sites in general). They simply dont know english good enough, so they use sites on japanese/korean (which is a shame, since I bet there's tons of cool internet stuff on japanese sites that english users never see (and the other way around) :/).

eddie,
I've seen that frist one somewhere. Doesn't SCAD use that in their materials? Excellent job.
I'm saving up the money so I can attend there. I've worked it out, it will only take me 5 years working my crappy job to save up for it, and another 5 years to pay the loans off afterwards....

Great thread and excellent work all around!... Here are a couple of my most recent life drawings from my website. I did a ton of figure drawing in college (~5 years ago)... and i'm afraid i'm getting rusty at it now... this thread inspires me to attend the open life drawing group at the local artist guild again.

wow. all the wonderful sketches. ;} I don't know if mine qualifies. I didn't use much reference... everyone's looks like it's from a life study class.

Hi. How's everyone doing? ;}
