overall it's pretty nice, although some areas lack definition- add some detail to that cute little rodent (always draw in at least twice the intended size of the picture). i like the wooden texture, and that fuzzy looking sock, but i think that the stone looks a bit too smooth. make sure you know your lighting setting- if the room is dark, the fire should be casting most of the visible light- which means everything lit by the fire should be warmer and yellowish/reddish- including the inside and front of the fireplace. don't forget casting shadows where appropriate.
also, try adding some texture to the background to define its place within the image space- right now the fireplace seems like it's floating in a void.

Thanks for the comments Bilbo. I tryed what you said. Just not sure I feel like making the mouse bigger, but I know what you mean, I'll do that for my next piece.

definitely an improvement here.

btw- i didn't mean you should make the mouse larger- i meant you should always draw the entire picture at a larger pixel scale, and then size it down. That makes all those broad brush strokes and coarse detail appear finer .
