now that you're here, these are some animation tests, of my matt rhodes styled charecter, I enjoy trying to emulate other people's styles (helps you learn about diffrent techniques)
and this was one of my hardest Ideas, I wanted to convay the style that mr matt rhodes uses in his drawings through 3D, so without further adu, the images.

these are a few of the faces I rendered, I used about 3 morph targets, and some bones to do these (well, only one bone, which controlls the jaw, it's that square

wireframe sticking out of the chin) this was done in 1 night, to a model I mesh smoothed, and made myself in... a longer amount of time

this is a fun exercise because I get to create a new product while still learning about somone else's style.

oh and isric, if you show up, I'm still up to do some stuff with this one, I can make a body, and even hair if you feel like drawing it up for me, right now I'm no sure which specific charecter to chose, so I'm just kind of messing with the model I have (this animation test is just that, a test, and will be thrown away once I continue modeling this guy)

Hey Shahar2k,

Looks pretty good there. I recognize the 'Isric' style you've tried to capture - which means you've succeeded in what you set out to do.

Well I saw this a while ago but haven't had the chance to reply. This is really facinating for me, I've never really sat down and looked at my style. To look at someone else's interpretation of what I've been doing by default is really neat. I think you handled the eyes well, you've captured the shape of what I'm seeing when I draw them. As far as the mouth, I either try to keep it simple with one line, or (in the case of 3d) I really try to make them as blatantly shaped as possible, sort of like the textbook geometry of them. Not sure if that comes across, but I think it may help with your model. The big nose is awsome, and you fit all the features into the head in that 'features-are-too-big-for-the-head' way. Very nice. I can't wait to see it in motion. If you need any help just ask (i know you already have, but it looks like you figured out most of it)

yah you draw the mouth as kind of a slit but I tried to derive the shape of it from the shading you use, plus you nearly allways have that little line above the chin indicating a strong devision between the lips and chin, at least from my observation

it does kinda suck for me that your site went over bandwidth I have to resort to studying your elfwood stuff for reference

Well i don't know Isric's style but reading other topics, you did it... Maybe you can add a simple video, or animated gif to show the motion ! And some lights?
