I just took the "next step" in my work. I've started photographing my own models!

So, I now have full creative control and rights to my paintings. To celebrate I thought I'd make this pin-up thread.
I'm hoping some of the other sijun artists will add something of their own.
So.......Please add a pin-up of your own to this thread.

Here's one of my pin-ups, it's a little old but what the hell.

Sorry bro. I wasn't trying to imply that my image was nude. I'm hoping more folkes will add some pin-ups of thier own to this thread. And I want them to be able to post nude pin-ups if they're so inclined. That is what the warning is for. Of course the pin-ups don't have to be nude.

Well, I think our styles are different.
But I think he's a great artist and I'm hoping he'll add something of his own to this thread.

No, no, no.

You don't have to take your ref photos yourself. Post any pin-up, any medium, skecth or finished piece. Use photo reference or don't. Nude or clothed. Anything goes, just as long as it's a pin-up.

The piece I did above was done using a photo I got off the net for reference. Veronica did not model for me. Although, that would have been nice.

I can't wait to see some pin-ups from the rest of you.

Hey I remember a large pin-up topic here on forum! As for your picture, one of the airbrush problems - lack of texturing. No it's not bad, but you must be hella skillful to avoid 'plastic' feeling. Real faces have a texture, bump, color variations, some hair etc. so you need to include these things somehow if you wanna realistic look of course.

Also when painting faces put a lot of attention for the eyes. I found that a couple of pixels can greatly change face expression! But hey I must be talking about obvious things...
