posted this on the lumental forums...but its finally up and released so I can put it up for the rest of you to see...I wish I could put more up but much of what I have been working on cant be let go until the project is announced...
this one of the castle (warm..horizontal format) was done for the now cancelled TORN game the guys were working on.
the rest of the work is by other artists within black isle.

I have missed you so much Mr. Manley. You're an inspiration to me. My favorite would have to be the Merchant, your oranges and purples were perfect |

Awesome work, sir. What is odd is I just finished watching you give that interview you made a long time ago on how you go about your paintings.
But my sentiment is an echo of Isrics. You are among the inspirational artists I am growing up with, and I know that 30, 40 years down the line, my work will contain elements of your style in it. |

That artwork really added to the feel of all the Black Isle games. It's a pleasure to see you in the forums! |

wow
awesome work
I just saw a very few pics of yours before but I think you have improved much.
Great design and colors......can't even deside which one I like best.
oh btw. I'm following your advice and I'm currently copying a masterpainting(with acrylics)---hard work but I'm learning much---I've become much more color sensitiv and understanding where to put warm/cold colors since doing it

thanks guys...I do want to reiterate that not all that work is mine...I did the castle piece...vance kovacs did some...john dickenson did some and eric campinella did the 3d stuff.
tis funny...there are literally hundreds of paintings like that and better than that that are unused at black isle...I hope that the peeps keep releasing the stuff.
on a different note...Im finally leaving black isle...I am heading over to troika to take a position as project art lead on their next title...its gonna be a great one too!

On a slight tangent, when the heck are you going to put up a site with your stuff on it, Mr Manley? |

Hey Jason,
I've never had the opportunity to respond to one of your works, so I'll take this one..
You are incredibly talented. Every single piece I see of yours quite literally blows me away. You have a very unique style, and I think you've set yourself apart from the relatively broad brush (no pun intented) that most digital artists are painted with. Very cool, very fresh, very well executed. Your passion for art shows in your work.
Please, continue bringing us great stuff. I look forward to seeing whatever you produce in your new position.
Best Regards,
-Chris |

Bump:
Just like to say good luck and all the best at troika...
I feel you have made the right move leaving BIS, there a good bunch, but you need to evolve .
I had a blast working alongside (over the net) with the crew when I worked on the at the time interplay/BIS production Infite Worlds now known as Demise. Was great fun.
Can't wait to see your site once you have it up and running, you are and always will be a great infulance of mine. Good Luck Jason.
Kay. |

Very nice painting, Mr. Manley. It's kind of small on that site though.
And I have to join in with Shaded and ask when we're gonna see a site of your own... well? |

_ANY_ possibility to get a bigger version of the image, say the original res.?
You just seem to have as incredibly much attention to the right detail as Graig does - getting hard to decide who rules the most. |
