Yo,
I don't know what's up with what but everybody seems to be putting sketches in this folder when they do stuff so I'll use this folder too. They're not realy 'works in progress' cuz I'm done with them but not exactly picasso's either. And then there's the whole thing about them not being digital paintings yet (but hey this is how a digital painting starts) ... so what the heck. If I'm doing something evil just let me know. Anyway, here are some sketches I thought people would enjoy. I know I always enjoy everybody else's. I only put up a few of the new one's here so you can see the rest here:
hethe's sketches
just remember to click the [-] and [+] to go to more pictures after you click a gallery. Some people missed this cuz they were in too great a hurry!

Hethe, that snow sketch is perfect! I love the costume and the landscape is really simple and flowy.

Heheh the last one looks a bit like a remixed Dirk the Daring from Dragon's Lair. I love good old fashioned sketches. We want more! |

Wow! You're incredible!
I just checked out your webpage, and man-o-man! I'm really glad I was given the opportunity to see your work, I feel very inspired. You have such a refreshing style. It reminds me of Disney, anime, and comic art all balled into one. Astounding. Keep up the great work! |

hmm.
'disney' 'anime' 'comic books'
what an interesting combination. I have a hard time because I constantly fight the 'comic book' influence I have. Don't get me wrong 'cuz I love comic book art, but for some reason I hate it when my stuff looks 'comic booky'. Hearing that it looks more like a blend was really helpful. It actually makes me feel more free to just let it come out and stop setting up my own artistic blocks.
Just incase you're curious I have a thing against a comic book style in my art because for so long that's all it was and so many bad things came with that. All my characters looked alike. Everybody had to have muscles. you know. All these things ruin art to me.
