I like the design of the picture, the crunched look of his face and the bulging muscles. However I do not think that the surface or landscape below the demon fits into the picture.

Very good work.
By the way, it seems to me that you are concentrating a lot on characters...

Damn nice, Randis!
Like the purple electricy effect (lack of a better word) on his forehead. It's subtle and effective.
Gotta say from looking through your website that I like the AQUANOX picture in it took. The composition's really unique yet it works.

...... Impressive.

I think the bottom half lets it down. Is the shadow meant to be the demons body (like a shadow form or something) because it looks funny on the lower half. Outta place or something.

I think that if you cut the image off at half way up it would look better.

PS: Is this by any chance thief: the dark project inspired??

no, honestly it is not inspired by nothing.
ok, maybe my own body and the great big horn.... hahahahahahaha
no, lol

Yes, actualy i planned the imag a different way, the demon supposed to stand much more higher, but then i disliked the layout so i put him deeper. Just imagine he came out of the earth/ground or stand in a hole, whatever.
I made this Illustration in around 4-5 hours so it was not a big deal. I could have made it more detaiel, more better however but i sometimes like to make some simple images too. I did focus on the muskels and the head not the BG.
Thanx for all the crits, i will think of them when i make some Illustration of this kind again!
Thanx

True to the heart emotions eminate from this design.
I have a similar character I created some years ago named 'RAMSES'. His skin/muscle texture runs the same, being burned by fire is the reason.

One key point I admire is the shadowing in the eye orifice area. The one abstract horn is a nice imaginative touch. But what really makes this character an optimum design is the lavender glow that shines out from his 'mark of the beast' forhead insignia that touches you making you aware of its presence.

Definetely not somthing I would want as an option to run into in the dark woods, but 'RAMSES' is not a character I would want to meet either.

/D

What software do you use? Especially for Forneus and Sally?
