Well here goes its not perfect but its another try. And trying is all that counts so....
Its not that good but I am still young and stil learning. Was done by colouring over a shaded lead pencil image.

Hey!
Nice to see an Aussie on the list. Are there any others out there?
Like the pic a lot. Especially the colours. But is seems like a pretty good "try" to me! A couple of things that hit me when I saw it were,
The guy in the foreground is a little hard to make out because there isn't all that much contrast between him and the background, especially the hair.
The perspective in the pic is a little skew. The horizon line of the pic seems to be around the top of his head in the foreground, yet all of the buildings seem to have the horizon line at their base. I think what I'm trying to say is that you can't see under or on top of any of the buildings even though some of them are above and some under the horizon line. If objects are lying parrelell to the ground but above the horizon line you can see underneath them, ie you are looking up from below them, and the opposite is true for objects below the horizon line, you are looking down on them. In the piece the horizon line, (of the camera/viewer), looks to be around the top of the head which is above the silver building. Therefor all unusuall situations aside, you should be looking down onto that building, not straight across at it as you have drawn it.
You can see the sun in the background, but when you look at all the objects in the piece they seem to be lit from another light source as well. Like there were two suns. This is evident in the two domed buildings where the reflection of light comming off of them seems to point to there being another light source of to the left of the viewer and a third almost directly above thee silver one and off to the right a little. The reflection of the sun in the silver dome I think should only be the meerest band across the top edge on the right and the rest should be in shadow lit by ambient light, or reflecting the sky if it is really shiny, (I hate drawing that kind of reflection...... ). This lighting inconsistancy can be seen in the face and glasses as well. If there is another light source you may like to hint at what it is by drawing it in the reflection of the glasses or something like that.
The lense flare is a nice touch and I think it will really add to the piece if/when the lighting is a little more consistant.
I hope this helps. |

Brothers and sisters!
Daily we grow in strentgth and influence. Two of our number are already moderators!. All will soon be in place. The hour of our people draws near.
When the time to move comes, you will know.
(oh and the picture doesn't appear to work. Server is probably hosed) |

Okay okay to the "Dr Red X" people...
Different server and on a html file:
http://www.stormpages.com/gamingvision/image/Goggles.htm
There we go.
Oh yeah muzz do we really have two Ausie moderators??
Silverwolf: I said it wasn't perfect!!! The perspective is way off and thanks for pointing it out. The lighting is always off in my pics but I am still learning. And it is still a mouse job so hey c'mon.
Haha yeah I am kinda new to digital... started this year me thinks.
To all the Aussies: Yeah up with the Aussies... haha. Every Aussie should hint they are Aussie in the topic title so we can easily identify the brotherhood (?? )

Oh, I meant to reply.
Yeah Freddio and Sumaleth are Aus' folks.
The pic doesn't look too bad really as a simple piece from a 'battler'. It's mainly the burny dodgy colouring that's not helping. You'll want to wean yourself off that at some stage. And the lens flare is..well, strange. |
