I'm surprised, if not bugged that no one has been drawing anything to express their opinion on what's been going on lately. What's up with that!?
I talk to lots of people at work (call center), and there are lots of people especially in the northeast part of the US who are going through MaNiC depression, because the PATHETIC and GREEDY news stations only display terrorist tragedies. No body knows about the new building which collapsed in NY. No one knows about what's happened in recent events at Universities, and why? BECAUSE IF THEY PIN YOU TO THE TV, AD PRICES RISE AND THEY MAKE MONEY. ---
Fear shouldn't be used like this. Does anyone disagree? |

If only Noam Chompsky (sp) were here.
Until then ill try and research a clever quote from him to sum this all up. |

Chomsky*
Chomsky is a very intelligent man who knows whats up! Glad to see other people interested in him.
Another favorite scholar of mine is Howard Zinn. Here is a little something he wrote about what is going on.

Regardless, God is not dead, anyone who says that is not educated. But if you do want to get into philosophical or logical about it, I could quote Pascal... but I'm not. Regardless, I think this has been blown out of proportion by irresponsible media coverage and misinterpretations of eastern religion. Allah is good, God is good, and so is Buddah.
BUT!!!! Getting back to the art aspect ---Does anyone have any political art!? --- I know that this forum has the talent to create their interpretation of modern events.
-----I'll post another picture later on tonight----- |

But Subliminate, how would *telling* us about that other falling building in NY hurt their purpose, make us less bound to the tv?
I agree that the news game is all about ratings and tvc revenue, but this simply means that they all fight like mad dogs to find a bit of confirmable news not covered by the others. Note 'confirmable', ratings would go down if they consistently had to apologize for erroneous reporting, or got sued a lot.
On the other hand, there are alternative news sources -so do you think *they're* any better? Any purer of heart, etc? Maybe. Are you asking me to take that for granted without proof? No way.
BTW, here in Austin TX everybody I know seems fine, so far. And just as much traffic over the weekend as usual. |

That's true Steven, and you do have a good point. I live in the bay area of Cali, I'm thousands of miles away from the problem... If I lived in Washington D.C... it'd obviously be a bit different. But that still doesn't change my opinion that this has gotten out of hand. Why don't they tell us how small the threat really is? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T KEEP US LOCKED IN... That's all that picture is about. |
