Hey...I've been trying out some new stuff. This didn't take too long but I'm pleased with it (I think)...I'm not really dealing with all the space; I've been trying to loosen up a bit.
Tell me what you think. Any and all comments welcome. |

Interesting... I'm digging the texture on the treeant/woody type guy... and the gentleman in the palm of his hand is rather dashing too.
just a side note... I think the wood creatures face could use somemore detail in it's features... just MHO

Hey thanks. Glad you like it.
More details in the facial features? You mean eyes?...hehe...I don't know what my problem is, but I've got a huge "squinty eye" complex right now; I hardly ever draw open eyes anymore. I think I've been possessed by the spirit of Rob Liefield...which is definitely not a good thing. |

Just here to spur you on with a little encouragement. I enjoy your style and sense of color - the latter has a compelling sense of harmony to it that somehow fits your persona. [Then again, my interpretation of this so called persona may be a shade different than yours ]
Either way, that picture literally begs for a background. Looking forward to seeing an upgraded version, if you're so inclined.

oh I was thinking more in line with the right side of the face and around the chin area.
and I know what you mean about eyes... I hate doing them.... |

Well...It's not so much I don't like drawing eyes, I just don't! hehe...It's become a habit that I haven't decided is good or bad yet.
Shaded: Cool! That's a good compliment, I very very rarely get positive remarks about my coloring. Thanks.
Any ideas about a bg? All I can think of is a generic green landscape: farms, crops, low mountains...But, I dunno, that could be lame and/or unoriginal. An idea hasn't really hit me yet. Which I'd expect: I rarely (I can't think of one time) don't have the entire image in my head or mapped out before hand... |
