cool pic..
the lighting from these shutters have a bit of a camouflage effect- making it a little hard to recognize forms and objects at first glance- perhaps the contrast between light and shadow should be smaller.
anyway- seems a bit wierd that he's reading the paper facing the wrong side of the light :-) |

I'm digging the atmosphere of this pic ... Film-Noir, Bladerunner hippo. I like the illustrative quality. Good work! |

Thanks everybody,
Very well considered and valid comments by all. Check out this re-touched version by the one and only Daniel Cox. It solves the light source problem quite nicely methinks...

Nice work on both, but I do prefer the color scheme in the first one as well.
It feels more sinister. Like he's a mobster rather than a banker.
The lighting in the second one also detracts from the main figure.
Overall though, better than I can do.
Cheers |

Reminds me of Tim Burton's style a lot. That's a good thing ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

I like the first one better. Either way it's good stuff.
Take it easy,
