Nice. My only crit would be about the wasted space on the second image file. But it desn't really show up.
Are skins really two 512x512 images now? Damn. That's a lot. I mean, Holy Shit, that's great! I've been out of the skin loop for a while, if you didn't notice  |

lol..ben some games are using 1024x1024 maps like soldier of fortune 2 ..also unreal 2 and doom 3 will be using these large textures... but only the big time FPS's can get away with that. The game im working on uses 2 512x512 and a 256x256 for the face gonna be real nice when the day comes and we can use 2 1024x1024 maps.. pretty sure I can get near realistic detail with that resolution!! |

Hey does anyone know how to unwrap a model like that? so that it flattens out the polygons? What utitlity do i need for max? Thanks...also if anyone could post at tutorial it would be most appreciated...Again Great work on the texture man |

Nick, the best seems to be UVW unwrap for max, there's a tutorial here: http://merlin.zsnes.com/tutorials/mapping/index.html
Ben - that's not wasted space, if you look at the meshes in the wireframe images you'll see the shapes. I just alphaed the unneeded parts on the lance, headgear etc out and with the black bg it looks like empty space on the skin files.

Whenever I try to skin something I get all mixed up trying to read the wireframes correctly.
Then the skin looks out of whack. |

Could you possibly be anymore godlike.. I have your Darkknight skin for Q3 , it finally showed up on Polycount. I remember seeing the prelims at DBM. Anyway...
