PS: How do you get those kewl shadows/highlights ? just putting layer aboce layer, creating freehand selections and filling'em with gradients ? just wondering...

Pretty durned good, pardner. The monster's colors seem a little dull or blas or something- not that they need to be brighter, but more vibrant or strident somehow. Obviously most monsters aren't bright pink and baby blue, but it just feels a little drab. The other side doesn't have that effect, and overall you did a fantastic job.

Awesome Kevin. Can you recommend some tutorials to me? I tend to use the airbrush tool in photoshop but I want to try it your way. By the way, who do you work for again? I forget. Later.

Kevin, Thats funny, it doesn't look like your using only airbrush, actually it looks like you're using the wand tool and gradiants.

hehe...capnpyro: I think i've actually been getting slower...i dunno why...i should be getting faster if anything...weird. I dunno, cuts...i have fun selecting them, kind of a weird idea to have fun "yes! i'm gonna go select some cuts on my saturday night"...nah

Fig: I use different selecting methods...but I flat the pic...then I use the magic wand just to select the big area for my first couple of airbrush layers...of course the cuts are selected with a lasso or something. BUt no gradients...not even for big broad skies...for some reason, i just don't like the way a uniform gradient looks...

Hey cool! Kinda reminds me of the way I used to do comic coloring.
Great stuff. The slicing is a bit to hard for my tasts, but I know that's the style most comic companys are looking for.

Good show,

Awesome ..

I think it would do the image good to lower the monsters face some. Put the eyes in line. Anyways that's my opinion though .. its really good ...

Bibbe: It's not usually recommended that the colorists change the pencils...
Cybertoker: I think companies are actually preferring the other styles of coloring as much as one with heavy cuts...i could be wrong.
