as you see, I've been trying to paint more
loosely...but it's hard with a graphire tablet. should by a bigger one for full arm motion. anyway comments please, people!
...and oh yeah, those are about 20min works.

These are great! The first one is just amazing! The light is like looking through a stained-glass window at sunset. Just beautiful. These are very nice and loose - especially for using a graphire! Those things kill my hand. The second painting is quite nice too. It's not as dynamic as the top image, but it's full of nice subtleties. Perhaps the background gets just a little too dark?
Fantastic work! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

They are indeed in their "finished state". I love the top image, you can really get a sense of movement out of it. |

thanks Breaker & Ahcri
I think the top one best too. this is the actual second time I've drawn a horse. (the first one was a centaur, but I'm counting it).
would an a4 size intuos2 board be worth the money? my graphire is killing my wrist and
it feels so limited after 6 months of use... |

I like them and I can appreciate the loose work ..I have been trying that lately as I see there are a lot of people who are very good at getting the general look of things very quickly...but mine always look like something from a 3rd grade retard..anyways nice stuff!! |

i like em both but there are small gripes i have with both of em and i do understand there sketches...the first i like the contrast but the composition is borin its just str8 in the center unlike the 2nd. i like the 2nd better overall, theres a sense of storytellin but like the first there are areas that could have better lightin but overall very kew sketches ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

I love the first one!!
the secound is also great .. but the path that leads straight to the house bothers me, It's to straight. That takes away some of the depth in the picture.
Other than that little crit.. I really love the colours in both of'em.
good job! |

I agree with all of the above. The lighting in the first one is especially effective.
With the second picture, are the car's headlights supposed to be on? Because there is a very bright patch of foliage that seems to be about where the headlight would light up. |

yeah .. the first one is really special. I've got a graphire too. i bought it because all the others sucked or were really expensive. so I got this one to see if I could really use it. Turns out I love using it. I don't have a mouse anymore .. just use the pen for everything but I have the same complaint as you when drawing.
If you can afford it .. get a bigger one ... the level of control and sensitivity is sooooo much nicer! |
