Some people said I shouldn't have posted these in Random Musings, even got a few messages telling me I should move them here.

The whole reason I posted them in RM in the first place was because I didn't want to hear about how this kind of stuff wasn't considered art and that I could stick it where the sun don't shine ;) Well, I -do- consider it art... and either way I had fun making all of these.

These are all me... boring I know:

Definitely art. Very nice composition in each. I'd hang them in my gallery (if I had one) any day.

Thanks Halo =)

Eric - Actually I'd kinda like to keep this thread for my pictures alone. I'd like opinions on them since it's sort of a little "series" I'm doing. However, feel free to start another thread for this subject if you like. ^_^

I don't think you've made the most of out of this style of art.. Some of them look little changed apart from a colour balance and subtle overlayed textures. Get more experimental! I think you will get much better results. But at the moment I just find these too boring, stale and unimaginative.

Cos - It's ok that you don't like them, but I wasn't going for an over-filterized, photo filled, overworked piece. I wanted it very simple, focusing more on the initial scan on it's own than my manipulations. And they aren't unimaginative at all... I put quite a bit of thought into each one: applying make-up, finding props and costumes, etc...

Stale and boring they may be though. But I like 'em =)

I just feel that overmanipulated work would defeat the purpose. I was studying this from a photographer's standpoint, not a "how much can I change this in photoshop?" one.

Thanks for your opinion

These are fantastic. They look like covers for Digital Art magazine. You have a wonderful style. The images are emotive look like visual manifestations of the mood and emotion of the model. Well done, I would like to see more.

Wow, thank you so much guys!

As to how I created them, there's not much to it at all really. I tried not to manipulate them very much so all my ideas went into the original scan. Sorta like taking a photo. Then I think the second most important part is how I cropped them... after that is when I would change a few colors and add a little texture. :>

i normally dont like this kind of stuff, but theres always exceptions....

the 3rd one funface13, is my favorite.... i like dark gothic stuff... and the black feathers and the colors are just great.... and i like this last one you did.... really makes me think of innocence... like a princess or something with the gold tones... very nice.... keep it up, dont let others bring ya down cause everyone has their tastes! as long as you like it right?
