I'm so glad that the Forums are back up ^_^. Here's my latest piccie...I'd appreciate any comments or critiques I could get on how to make it better. Thanks.

It's very well done. I've never thought about what Cloud would look like with real anatomy, but your interpretation of this character seems natural. My only complain is that the materia seems too big for the materia slot. But it's ok, maybe it can be something else..

Nice painting.

Great rendering. It seems a little odd though that the snow seems to avoid his head! ... its just a little bit too noticeable. That sword must have to be pretty light. Is the neck a little long? It looks a bit odd if I concentrate on it.

Overall this pic is pretty cool. I like the atmosphere and magical feeling the snow adds.

Awesome piece L99Relm, only comment would be his eyes. Cloud had glowing 'green mako eyes' where in your piece his are blue.

Thanks guys. Here is the newest version. I tried to mess around with some of the things you peoples suggested. I changed the materia slots on his sword to be the right size, and I put materia in them. Do you guys think that it looks better with both slots filled or should I take one out and just show the hole (maybe the yellow one)? I changed the neck a little ...it just looked a little strange (If the neck in this version still doesn't look much better could someone please point out how to fix it?) Also, I did put a little more show around his face. As for the "green mako eyes" all of the pictures from the game show his eyes being blue, maybe you we're getting his eye color mixed up with Sephy's. Well, what do you think? Is it better?

Both Cloud and Sephy were infused with mako, which gave them those wierd eyes. Granted I'm sure it didn't look like that 24/7. The The materia on his sword is kinda distracting from the rest of the piece, but the rest is looking good

This picture looks awesome... I'm going to have to agree with someone else who said that the first one was better.. The materia in the sword do kind of detract from the overall effectiveness...

I do have one other little complaint.. If you remember from the game, Cloud was an ex member of SOLDIER, which was like a super elite military force... In your picture, his face looks very innocent and boyish... but, if you wanted to stick with the story, he should be a battle hardened warrior... Just a little complaint if you want to be nitpicky...

It looks awesome, though.. really....

Just something else I suddenly noticed. The snow kind of looks like it is falling in a sheet in front of the picture, not like it has any actual depth. Not that I would have any clue how to give it that sorry! Probably me just nitpicking again, alas.

Really nice painting there! I have to say I actually prefered your first one, I think those two materia pieces in there detract from it. Two huge focal points with nowhere to go from there. I do think his neck looks better in the 2nd one though, but your shadow from the chin falls off too quickly I think, but maybe that is just me. Also, personally, I think he looks a bit too happy to be Cloud but that is definitely just me. I couldn't see this guy saying "..." Would love to see your take on Sephiroth if you're considering one!
