maybe it's wsl that has the hemeriods
I'm just kidding man, heh. The guy was just trying to be funny. Anyway my opinion is it's good, but his raised arm has some peculiar problems. The first thing I found odd was his armpit, where the cloth seems to fold or something. I suggest giving more of an angle to the fold lines and shortening them. As a second note remember where your light source is. Everything goes okay with the lightsource, but I don't understand the right side of his raised arm, which seems to be highlighted even though the light should (in my opinion) be going down the center of his arm. The hand itself has an odd thumb (odd being thin) and his other fingers seem to overlap oddly. I suggest putting your hand in that position and basing it off that
I hope I didn't sound too harsh, I'm just trying to help. It is a great picture, but I don't like responding without trying to post possible improvements for work. |

Hi wsl. I saw your last pic, and I can see this time you tried for a more dynamic light source.. good stuff.
That lump on the jeans, it is a nice stylistic touch, but it looks odd in this case. Maybe move it higher, to make it look like the pocket egde is sticking out.
Its good the way you made the shirt cast a shadow on the jeans. It looks good. The coloured light works well.
Do you understand line variation? the effect that the lightsource has on your lines? it looks like in a few areas, that you have thick lines that shouldn't be there because of the light. |
