Too bright for me-- looks like a Keith Harring piece with your complimentary colors. Also, they don't really look right on the webpage and take up an awkward space. Interesting setup though. Hope this helped, and also gave ya a bump.

That's a bit hard on the eyes methinks. You can make your logo big without using overly bright colors. High saturated colors like that are an especially poor choice for a forum since people will be reading there a lot. Try and make something that's easy on the eyes otherwise your viewers won't stick around. Browse a few of your favorite forums and think about which ones have color schemes you prefer and are easiest to read.
Personally I like low-saturated colors for the background and similar (but much darker or lighter) color for the text on top. Forums that really irritate me are the ones with pitch black bg's and bright neon green text... apparantly people think it looks really techy and matrixy or something, but it's actually just a pain in the ass to stare at for more than 5 minutes. I find myself looking away at blank walls to regain focus, hehe.
Hope this was at least a little bit helpful
(and on a little sidenote, I think the reds and greens you chose look rather Christmasy.. maybe go with a slight variation of the same colors if those are what you decided on) |

While the image is kinda cool, I think it is too hard on the eyes to be used effectively in a forum sense. I also think that having it so large and pushing the forum down is not a good idea. It means that anytime you want to do something, you have to scroll down. Seems kinda trivial but do it a couple of hundred times and it isn't as trivial. |
