Sorry if anyone has already seen this elsewhere, but it's the latest thing I've worked on. It's for an article about an engineering team that invented an electric coat then tried to figure out how to market it.

Hey, I've been watchin' your posts at Lumental, now I can give you respect here. You have the coolest style. I love the way you give everything a soft look, but have the edges so defined...very very cool. Please post some more. ![](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |

Very nice, i like it a lot, love the background. No crits from me.
Just out of curiosity, why is that bear there? |

I love that color combo. There's some sweet harmony there. Orange, green and a gray/purple -- all secondaries, if I'm not mistaken. Nice control on the saturation too. No crits, but a small observation: her heating elements look like a cloth pattern --a casual viewer might not catch the cool invention going on here. The elements are throwing off light, as seen on the fur cuffs and the toaster handbag, but it might be a easier to read as luiminous if the underside of her right arm caught a little more reflected light. |

Akolyte - Thank you very much. It's hard to have hard edges without things looking too digital. I'm constantly fighting with myself over how defined things should be. Glad you think it's working.
CapnPyro - Thanks, Capn!
AliasMoze - *chuckle* Thank you!
Grendel Khan - Thanks! The polar bear was there for an eskimo pie, but now he's thinking "Mmmmm, a warm meal!" I'm not sure what the penguins are thinking. I don't speak penguin.
Ian - Thank you very much!
Pat - Yeah, you're probably right. A little more glow on that arm would be helpful. Too late to do anything to it for the client, but maybe I'll get to tweak it for myself at some point. Thanks.
Tepox - Thanks again! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
