The first and last piece are my favorites. Mountainous nature scenes always seem to attract me. I think in the devil baby pic the thumb/claw on the left hand should be a little bloody since it's resting over the gash.

Awesome work none-the-less

I love the last one the most..

Sorry but the only comment I have is that the first pic seems to be too detail down by the stream or river ... When i look at it it kinda looks as if the river is actually a stream close up and the mountains are small hills.. in my eyes. May be just me but they RULE anyway GO USA

Nice pics Dix =)
First: Is the floor dry/wet?
Make some cracks or whatever in the ends
If dry: Perhaps if you add some pale yellowish and grey to it it might look good..
If wet: Kinda the same but darker and maybe throw some dark shades of green in there as well
Oh! and the candleholders foot(or whatever) is a bit crooked(?!).. and as pointed out above there should be some blood on those tiny fingers. And perhaps you should move the thumb holding the rat a little to more to the right(our) so that it's almost connected to or atleast closer to the pointing finger ( don't know the name for "Pekfinger" in english =)

Excuse my poor english ;p

Edit: Doh!.. There's to much smoke coming from the candle, and it should not be so blue. If the room/floor is dry then remove 70-90% opacy of the smoke.. If it's moist the just remove about half of it. Hope this helps or sumfin.. not really good at this stuff

Wow. I'm in awe of the atmosphere you've achieved in the first two paintings. They're just beautiful! Your sense of light and depth has a romantic quality like the fond memory of a place you wish you could return to. Great detail and color!

I think the last two don't stand out to me as much because there isn't as much atmosphere. They don't have the same sense of tangible light. Also, you seem to be using more black in the shadows on these pieces, and that always diminishes whatever color scheme you have going. I'd try working more color into your shadows (if the light source has yellow in it, the shadow would have some purple in it - that sort of thing).

Nice work!

FrustratedARTist: Thanks.
I had some serious problems to make that first landscape look "big". Need some more practise..

Zakath: thanks..
I want the floor to be dry, dusty and almost decomposted.. I think I'll add a bunch of big cracks all over the floor, that and some more greyish tone and yellow tones might do the trick..thanks for the tip and for the candle smoke, I wanted it to look really wierd and almost magical.. I might tone down the blue a bit. But I think I'm rather satifyed with how it looks right now.

Breakerboy2: thanks! You are so right I really need to work more with colours in shadows.. the last two is made earlier then the landscape pics. And I have really tryed to work more with colours lately.

Shiro_tengu: thanks!!

Tinusch: very glad to hear that. thx.

bellie: hehe, thank you.

J.Tsang: thanks..

MaLoRuM: haha!! that's funny.. I think I bought that at HM for 39 swedishkrowns (ca: 3,90us $)

Cos: I didn't use any refference for the second pic but I had to "cheat" on the first one..
