Micke,
As always, your character artwork is outstanding. Great lighting effects. I would have liked to see more highlights and shadows of the clothing of the first characters, but I think you got their "concept" out clearly without going into too much detail. Good job!

Cool. I really love seeing stuff from you Micke.
If anything All I could crit on would be the corners of all the mouths. Now according to what a few ppl have told me, you are supposed to blend the edges into the skin a bit. It is just a little less undefined than the other areas of the lips. I went and looked into the mirror. It seems that as far as I can tell it is mainly the lower lip that does this the most. I know that Enayla paints her lips with this in mind.
But hey, that would be just about the only thing I would ever pick out. Otherwise they are flawless.
Great work! |

Jesus CHRIST.
These are awesome - Especially the soldier (Harrison) and the black/white action shot. You can draw different faces so well. |

DR.Bang:
There are a lot of errors on all of them, believe me. They have been hanging on the wall at our offices for a long time, so i've had a lot of time to study them.
Gambit: Glad you liked them. I'm working on a
sequel for IGI at the moment.
Jamonch:Thank you I'm glad you feel that way with the first one. I simply did'nt have more time to spend on it due to deadline, but i think it still works even if it's not rendered the same way as the others.
Chapel: Thanks! Seems like things are going great with your new job Congrats!
Lunatique: These are for IGI2, but i think alot of it will be changed, though.
Dixter: Yes they are. Thanks!
Nori, Daz: Glad you liked them
rustriva: Thanks alot!
Kos.mandis, Poxen: Thank you.
EviLToYLeT: Could you be more constructive?
Would the colours look better to you if the
drawing was more shaded?
Burnout: Thanks for the crit! I can see that even both legs looks weird. Could be because it looks like he's leaning back with his body, making it look like he's loosing his balance. Thanks for pointing it out
I have more stuff, but they are due to be released first. 1 month or so i can release more.
simuartist:
I'm not sure if i have time to do it at the moment, but i could explain it briefly. I have a couple of new tutorials on their way that explains more in detail, so you could check them out if you want. It's not anything special i do, just sketch with a pencil, scan it in and colour it in PS.
Awetopsy: Thanks.
Zorglub: No, they're not.
Collosimo: I see what you mean. I have a really bad habit of doing things too sharp and edgy. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks
Wyatt Turner: Thank you.
Frosted Flame: I'm not at all. I really don't know what i'm doing, but thanks anyway.

micke:: sorry for the brutal response..... i'll be more constructive now
I undesrtand that the image is for concept art.... but, it's just a little too bland.
Let me list some reasons.
First of all, everyone is dressed in gray. What most people associate with gray is gloomy, rainy days, etc.. something not so exciting. But, the content of the picture, the swat team, is trying to burst with excitement.... but the gray is somewhat countering it.
Well, the actual SWAT team is.. well dressed in gray as well..(or a dark monotonous color.. dark blue) *rambles on and on*
The middle guy looks uninterested as well.. he's staring at this gun...
*nods head* yah it could use some shading guess I'm just not used to seeing flat work from you...
but hey.... even if it was flat, you could tense it up a bit and add character by adding maybe.. a ballistic shield
(sorry if you knew all this already... just trying to be constructive ) |
