super job spooge guy thing dude monster guy. Do you still have those clips of you painting? tank.mov? sink.mov? I was trying to find them but they don't seem to be on goodbrush.com anymore.
I must paint more cubes and.. plants. I wonder how you learn to draw realistic fire without doing it from life. must be photos? hm. |

I can not get over how well you pulled off this guys hair. So full and gritty.
Amazing stuff. Even at your level and skill, you still seem to improve and learn as an artist. Your such a hardworker!
I love it! |

Uhh... cool. In fact, it's freakin awesome (don't sue me Macaddict). The lighting, composition, and overall rendering of the subject and background are perfect. I'm probably wrong, but this seems a little different for you, when compared to your other work I mean. The face, background and overall atmosphere of the image are incredable. The dried blood is very realistic. The wrinkles cloathing are very well done and the hair very impressive. It seriously is hard to believe that Photoshop is capable of this kind of stuff.
I would offer one crit if I may... (I'll end up regretting this later don't worry) The blade and hilt on the sword look a little awkward to me (I'm probably wrong please don't hate me). I think that maybe more smoothing and flattening of the colors and adding a little more flair would help give them more of a metallic feel, especially if the hilt were to be more reflective and the lighting on the hand was toned down a little to give it more contrast with the sword...(please forgive me, I'm not worthy,... giving Craig "Photoshop God" Mullins constructive criticism... That'll warrant a barrage of much deserved flames in my direction... and yes, I am an idiot)
Seriously awesome stuff. Im a huge fan, especially of your Marathon inspired art. Oh and umm... Please do not visit my site, its crap (its tto dark, the art stinks etc.) and after that little crit I gave (forgive me Im not worthy) I will definitely lose whatever speck of credibility I may have had with it.
Anyway, did I mention that this image was freakin awesome?

pi-rates! I love pi-rates! And this is awesome. I love your "painterly" style (whatever that means) and it's good because its lively, not just technically correct.. um... yeah. =) |

Yo Mr. Mullins. What do think about cleaning up some of those figures in the mid-ground? I know in perspective they would be out of focus like they are. I guess my comment is about the possition of the guy with the sword on the left. He kind of seems static to me. And the figures to the right seem a little to blocky and saturated. What do you think? I know you get a lot of feed back and praise I thought you'd appreciate some critque. I dig how you painted the shadow part of his hat. Fades into the hair very Sargent like. Nice work. |
