I personally don't think it's all that good. The face is decent I guess, but the body is all goofy lookin, and too smudgy. But hey, an hour tops and while talking to customers on the phone .. so I don't think it's too bad.

But a guy at work saw me drawing it, asked if I did anything on the computer, I said yeah, Photoshop and Illustrator. He has a graphic design company for local people, flyers and ads and banners and business cards etc, and a lot of people want stuff drawn rather than jsut words..so he asked if I was interested.

Not a bad day's work just waiting on some more info from him, hopefully it'll turn out well.

Geez, I wish I can get a job like you. I draw in public all the time and everybody said "huh!"

I don't think it's done though, its missing a foot.

Alot of employers are looking for folks with a good attitude, computer skills and some creativity. Don't necessarily have to be a fully developed artist, just in the right place/right time. This especially applies to graphic design where the client is an individual rather than a company. Individuals can't pay as much and need fast turn around. Just some thoughts based on what i see every day at work.

the world is not fair, you can donate money to poor children and get hit by a bus the next day. Wohoo, happy thought!

No offense, but...

You got an illustration position with this?

A few tips;

Work on anatomical accuracy. I can't stress that enough. Buy a book. I recommend "Drawing the Head and Figure" by Jack Hamm, or "Dynamic Anatomy" and "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by Burne Hogarth. Both books will help you out immensely.

none taken .. trust me i'm surprised as well, but i'm not going to turn it down. it's far from the best i've done, but even my best is nothing compared to the things i see on here daily, unfortunately for me. i'm going to try though, maybe this will work out well for me.
