By the gut of Buddha! Another Radiohead album already? The critics are still drooling over Kid A.

Well, let me know how it sounds.

I like the new album so far...

Most of my favorite Radiohead stuff isn't on their albums...I have a huge pile of bootleg MP3s off of Napster. Now that that's been screwed up, I'll have to sneek in a mini disc recorder and tape them myself when I go to the concert on the 24th here in Vancouver.

Red Leader, Nice idea.

I want some of those bootleg songs. Some way of giving them to me?

Yeah, you're right: some of their best stuff isn't on albums. My favored of them being True Love Waits. I love that song...if only they'd actually put it on an album instead of saying 'yeah, looks like it. nevermind.'

I'm hoping to see them in atlanta july 30th.

for those who want to know of other songs, go to Follow Me Around or Green Plastic

I think it's great! I bought the special edition book & cd version today.
And tomorrow I will (or at least I hope) buy ticket for the concert

btw "you and whose army?" and "I might be wrong" are my favourite songs right now

I hate to go with the flow here, but it's one of the best albums ever made. It's kind of bland the first few times you play it, but after a while it sticks and you can't imagine life without it (maybe I'm exaggerating a little). I do miss the guitars every once in a while though..

I bought my concert ticket yesterday.. if anyone else is going to the Stockholm concert, perhaps we can meet up for a beer or something prior to the show.

Dharma Bum, I got my ticket today!

--over and out--

I've been listening to it for about a month now (hats off to the creators of the mp3 file format) and I like it, but it's funny that some people have compared it to Kid A. All of the music on Amnesiac came from the same studio sessions as Kid A. That's why the album was released so quickly on the heels of the last one. I think my favorite is "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" probably because it reminds me of Autechre.

I've spent well over a hundred dollars in the past week on CD's alone, desperately hoping to get at least one winner. This falls into the increasingly large category of CD's I regret buying. I don't get this at all. I can see how some people like it for its creativity, but this is just way too abstract for me. I can't enjoy this CD.

Just being curios… If you “can’t enjoy this CD”, what kind of music do you enjoy?

“CD's I regret buying”, I just hate when that happens! Although seems to me that it happens more often when I buy many CD’s during a short period of time.

I would like to recommend the Avalanches – Since I left you (link to a review), it’s one of my best buys during this year. The song “Frontier Psychiatrist” is incredible. But of course it all depends on what kind of music you like...

WHD: exactly. Of the sessions Kid A and Amnesiac are from, I, personally, prefer the songs on Amnesiac.

Tinusch, have you heard their other stuff? Some of it is more easier to accept. But trust me it will grow on you.

Honestly I don't think Amnesiac is their best, nor one of the top albums of the year so far. It isn't inspirational as Kid A and OK Computer for me either. Having that said I still think it's pretty good, and we haven't seen Radiohead's best yet.

It's amazing how other bands would kill to make a song as good as Radiohead's B-sides

OK Computer is one of my favorite CD's of all-time. I listen mostly to punk, but I loved Radiohead's older stuff. I just wasn't expecting this to be so different...

I can see how coming from a "punk background" would make you, I dunno how to say this, but it's really understandable that you find it abstract. I guess you have to listen to it more? Maybe it's just not for everyone.

Damn, my mom is yellin, hehe, whoops, I've definitly gotta go. My favorite song from it is probabley... "Living In A Glass House" LOVE IT. See ya guys ~ (:

I really seem to like "Like Spinning Plates". I believe that song was recorded backword, or at least the voice is reversed. Anyone know what he's saying?

There are a bunch of nice songs on amnesiac but you can't compare it to kid a. Kid a is a work of art. I mean, amnesiac is the scraps after all. It leaves me a little abused and unsatisfied. Where as Kid a leaves me reeling.

I think radiohead is some kind of drug.

Just to tell you: When you're using "a" before a word that begins with a vowel (a,e,i,o,u) then, the "a" becomes "an". I'm just telling you, not to offend.

Yeah, Radiohead is a drug. A nice one. I just got Undertow (tool) and Ben Folds Five, they're both great.

ex: nima is my favorite Tool album. Undertow is great though...

...and now back to Radiohead. I dont think Amnesiac is their best work either. I also agree that OK Computer and The Bends are better.

edit: Yes, on Like Spinning Plates, the words are reversed. I think http://www.followmearound.com has the lyrics.
