dang, i'm having a hard time keeping up with all the posts. this is cool though, we got 180 registered users on this and i'm glad so many are using it.

now that things are on a roll, any things that stand out that need to be changed? you people need another forum for whatever? or does this work fine?

I was thinking it'd be neat if maybe we all picked something and drew it and see how the different styles all work out.

...or something. its 5.am and my brain aint working so this message might not be here tomorrow when i read it over again and realize how dum it sounds.

thats exactially what i was thinking yesterday! we should make a thread where everyone would have a topic to draw.. and one day when everyone puts it up and see everyone's styles - FUN!
for ex. everyone takes 200x100 piece of paper #&*^$ i mean canvas

and draws Dhabih's face or something.. and then everybody posts their work in one day and we'll discuss it

different perspectives of a topic are always fun to look at......

(erm... the suggestion of drawing dhabs face...erm........... I wouldn't want me to draw a picture of me...... hell Id proberbbly commit harry carry when I saw it )

Anyhow, sounds like a good idea, but the topic should be pretty broad. And it should have absolutely nothing to do with the Millennium, especially since it isn't even changin yet. That would be so obvious.

Just have it like.... every week or so.. a nifty topic comes up and people draw it up all neato and then we post it up on the weekend or somethning.. or just a showcase forum for us to place our masterpieces.... lol =P

Hey Dhabih!

That sounds great! I like all the suggestions. Maybe another forum or section just for drawings. I mean, we could (weekly or bi-weekly) get a concept or type of drawing to give everyone to do (homework) and we could all post out pieces here for 'constructive' critisim. That would be great! But i think bi-weekly would be better for those of us that work crazy hours and don't have digital tablets, we're still using scanners ya know.... So come on, give us something to draw!

bi-weekly? twice a week?,. geez. bi-monthly might be better,. i work over 60 hours a week, an have a time consuming woman i need to feed. not to mention her car i have to fix, and my car, and the neighbors, and freaking computers i need to put together to get some more money, and and and,...

whatevvah, i have time

lemme know what i need and when i need it and i'll throw something together in about an hour

Well, this is interesting...
I thought Bi-weekly meant once every two weeks, but it is in fact both, as it seems.
I Quote my Wordsworth Concise English Dictionary:
"bi-weekly: occurring happening once in two weeks or twice a week."

Hm. Go figure.

Umb, bi weekly might be cool. Bi monthly would be too long for everyone I believe. Also, Dhabih, you should find a voting script to pick a new topic each time. 4 or 5 topics would be good, then everyone could vote to see which one would be best.

Judging by the other forum, it might be a good idea to have a separate "Image debut" forum, specifically designed for showing off new stuff. But that may split the technique and display discussions in a bad way (since they're often the same thing)

Uh oh. Should I be some sort of certified artist to be a member? Can't draw diddly, just like to read comics, and I have a deep admiration of those people who can draw...
