I’ve been pretty sick for nearly a week. I mean, really sick. In bed kind of sick. Gotta hate that.
So, I haven’t really worked that much on art, because I haven’t felt motivated. Then suddenly I managed to finish this picture that’s been moseying around for some time.
‘Tis Emily. She is, I’m afraid, a vampire. A Toreador. She’s also not a very nice person, except to those she holds near and dear (and even those, she has a tendency to manipulate).
I know it’s not a very complicated or groundbreaking picture… but it’s the only one I’ve made for a while, and I thought I’d show it anyway.

Yummy.
I'd let her bite me. Awesome work. The lace has a dramatic effect. |

take some Zinc losanges about every hour or so, that will help you feel better; oh and don't forget the chicken broth and before you go to bed take a spoon full of honey with some lemon drops.
Oh yeah, hehe I love the face on that girl, she looks michevous as hell (all puns intended) the type of girl I would fall for too....vampire or not
A little request if I may, do you think you could post some of your line work?
Hope you feel better. |

Far be it from me to put all my comments on one forum, like a nice, thoughtful person.
Just thought I'd add that while I complained about the end of her ponytail, the hair at the top of her head is fantabulistic. You've outdone yourself. *nods eagerly*
I absolutely LOVE that look of contempt, by the way.

Heh, I don't really have any linework, I'm afraid. Don't work that way.
Thanks everyone =)
I was really just going to comment on this one thing: Emily isn't REALLY a Toreador. She's a Caitiff, which means she's clanless, but she has the abilities of a Toreador. She's an exotic dancer, the li'll dear.
As for being mean, and not mean... well... I think that all kinds of people can be mean, even if you don't expect them to be. Emily here is extremely self-centered and has a very odd view of the world. Comes from growing up in a home where her father ended up beating her mother to death.
(Edit) Oh, and it's Brujah. I'm no vampire expert... I don't even like that game too much.

Nice picture, there...and I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better now. I think the lighting is very nicely done, especially on the face.
One little thing--the jewel on her forehead seems to 'float' a little--it seems a little disconnected from her face. Apart from that, though...very nice. I like the braid. |

I'm normally not a big fan of your work, Enayla, but I really like this piece. It has a pleasing composition, and I like her gesture. My only suggestion would be for you to indicate a bit more reflected light on the bottom of her chin . . . her chest is illuminated enough that I would think it would toss some light up there. This might also help define her jaw-line more, as that area presently seems a little muddy compared to the rest of the rendering.

I admire you, Enayla
When I asked in the forum about how to paint hair, someone recomended your work. Really amazing!
How you work on the hair, and the the skin? I never seem such beautiful thing.
Could you write something like tutorial, I really wonder how it comes out.

Nice to see a new piece, Enalya. How DID you do that lace? It looks fantastic, and in an odd sort of way, it kind of makes the picture. At least for me. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

hehe, I browsed the Wacom european site, WAY better than the american side btw, and saw that tutorial you had there. Is that more or less how you approach every piece that you do? |
