In my Visual Design class at school we had to create an illustrated children's book. It was quite fun. Guess who my influence is. :p Any crits?

Let me see... Tim Burton?

It looks very Stain Boyish... I like it =)

The rhyming goes very well along with the darker theme. Perhaps you could've tried to do the writing on the pictures themselves more readable - that's pretty important with stuff like this... but I guess it works anyway =)

I think the one where he's trying to get some time alone and sleep in the bird's nest is my favourite. That's so meaaaan... *sniff*

Hubert returns!! Yay, I like this character. I liked him when u first posted him.

I like the more bold illustration style you did before more though.

What fun! I agree the text could be made to stand out a little more. I can't even venture to guess who it reminds me of. Not really into children's books right now...(My kids are grown...YAY!)

Actually, I see more of a Roman Dirge style in here, with the dark, yet humouristic verses, greyscale drawings and freaks. Always freaks in Dirges stuff.
Really cool

Enayla: Right! I was going for a Tim Burton feel - Stainboy is hysterical. I agree with you about the writing, I should have made it clearer. Thanks.

Briareos: Hehe, thanks.

Kallen: You don't have to be, or have a kid to be childish!

And thanks to Awetopsy, Radiator and Glondus for replying.
