i asked my friends what i should draw and he said 'i heard a cool phrase that i'd like to see you come up with something for: keeping warm with a axe"

and i did this today, it'll be a background for my page somtime soon or so.

Very cool! There's definately a very tiny hint of Joe Mad. influence in there as well!

Reminds of The Maxx for some reason. I dig it. There's one little thing that bugs me though, and that's how the clouds just touch the moon. Makes it look like they're connected and flattens out the background.

Great coloring work though. Sweeeeeet.

A pretty cool image and one can definately see the Joe M style in it a little. I think you needed to 'finish' it off a little more as there are still some large streak marks and 'paintbrush circles' coming through too predominately. I think on the axe one, several well placed highlight lines (with the moon as the light source) could really lift the image.

you and your bro share a style- which i think is neat. one style in particular is not having thumbnails on your sites (jk).

these are both good pictures. i think the character is a little confusing in the first one, though. his shapes are kind of lost. and the second one seems like it's only a peice of a whole.

donk. hee hee. i totally know what you mean about the distancing from other styles. i love seeing the people that sincerely tell your brother he should apply at disney... as if he hasn't ever heard it before. in fact a million times before. and as if he has any wish to do that. it amuses me.

i don't actually see any hint of MAD! in your stuff. i also don't see any of your brother's style in it. i perhaps see something of ummm... the current superman artist... whatever his name is, in your bold outlines. but i think that the second one looks a bit too similar to the fat spa guy you drew before. at least in layout. make sure you don't dig yourself into a rut. i really like your stuff though. two artists in one family is pretty cool. the competition/comradre must be awesome.
