Pretty good. The most obvious flaw that I saw straight away was the shadow on his face. It looks too red. Too saturated. I know that shados in theory are supposed to be 'warm'... yet this is too much. It should only hint 'warm'. Try desaturating it, and maybe reconsidering the value aswell. I would lean towards a darker value personally.

The hat is a bit small. I would expect a cowboys hat to have a bigger brim.

Overall for no "refurance" it is quite good.

Thanks for your tip about the color flaws, i'm trying to fix it with advice beside now right now

And no, i dotn spel liek st.neill666

Freddio: cooler, ok hehe, i agree with you his skintone is too warm.

jr: Thanks! i like doing reference but its more fun doing ppl out of my head, i could be wrong about this cause i havent done much pic using refurance yet. About the hat, yea, i tweaked it alot but it still look either too short, i didnt know drawing cowboy hat could be this hard

Heya... looking pretty spiffy, I think your big problem with the hat is that it isn't big enough, it's pretty small. ^_^

Hmm... couple of images to show you the general head to hat ratio

I think you might also want to offer a bit more shading around the nose/eyes. The eyes are looking pretty flat right now, maybe put some more shadows/highlights around the eyelids? That's always been one of my bigger problems... :/

Anyway, hope this is helpful

Beth

looks good. I'd suggest though, since I guess it's suppose to be kind of realistic, to make the proportions more bold. even if it's cartoony, just juice up the shapes a bit. ALso, put more warm into the light, to give a better feeling of warmth.

just a quickie.

The one problem i have with the drawing (from the critical standpoint) is that the light source seems to be stronger on the face than anything else on the body. It seems like if he was a cowboy "on the range" he would be int he sun light and have a regular shadow on his shoulders. Who knows. heh

My two cents are spent!

Jezebel: Thanks! Yea, i have alot of truble with the hat, cowboy hat are very difficult to draw. This is the reference pic i used

but yours is better hehe,

"The eyes are looking pretty flat right now, maybe put some more shadows/highlights around the eyelids"

I'm always bad at this part to |

Joachim: BEAUTIFUL sketch and advice sir! I really like your style from the first time i see your work. This picture just boosted up my inspiration to draw more, wohoo!!!

MoleculeMan: I know why hehe, i spent like more than 5 hours on the face alone, and the rest are basicly not done because i was tired at the time and i really didnt notice it until you say it

There's nothing cooler than the wild west. Here's a quick one I did after seeing this post.

I still need a lot of practice.
