I like your stuff. You probably wont find your 'Style' by actively pursuing it. Style is something that will be unique to you. It will change over your artistic career. Although it may not be obvious to you, most people who know you and your art will be able to see a fresh new painting, and even without seeing any signature, immediately identify it as Cicinimo. Don't get your self into a gridlock and say "This is my style". If you do, you will undoubtably limit any further potential in your work. You should not get to deeply into that comfort zone that you know as your style. It may become a crutch, a dependency. Instead, I would urge you to constantly evolve, innovate and improve.

Crit:

I like your imagery here. You have some incredible potential at 15. I think that maybe your linework tends to dominate occaisionally. Be aware of that and you can control it. Most notably the linework dominates the face of the first painting there. It flattens the form of it, and forces the viewer to look at edges instead of 3d form.

Nice website to. Simple yet effective.

Cicinimo.. man..u're half mah age. but.. idont think u should slow down at all.. i'd say step it up.. cuz by the time u're a senior in highschool.. ppl (like other adults) nay tell u that art is not a wise career choice. Most parents kinda want their kids to pursue more "traditional" careers like Law, Medicine, Engineering, Accountancy, Architecture.. (though i think Architecture is kewl too.. look at Francis from TeamGT.). So if u need to convince your parents.. by then.. then hey, all the better.

I wished i had better councilling in my younger days.. hehe.. just my 2 cents.

Good Luck young man. Hope to see more of ur work. But dont forget to smell the roses along the way. You're only young once.

Alright, I was just gonna let the thread die, that honestly was my intention. But there are responses I just have to respond too. -_- bear with me here….

marc_taro: 1: what exactly do you mean by feathering my blacks? I’m not familiar with the term :-/. Also, I’m trying to get over this odd obsession I have with having perfect edges. 2: I don’t know exactly how to respond to that, because I honestly can’t make an educated statement here. But cartooning probably isn’t something I’ll stop, because that’s how I spend biology, geometry, etc, etc. Is my lack of real art skills really that evident in my cartoons? 3: Yes, yes, yes. Figures are definitely something I’m working on and know I need extra practice.

Lukias: I’m I don’t mind all that much. If you didn’t I’m sure the next guy would have :P. But I really am 15…I’ll swear my copy of photoshop on it!

Jr: Wow, she’s quite amazing, and probably better than me. But for future reference, Jr, people become annoyed when other’s post something in their thread without even bothering to acknowledge the creater of the thread. Common, it wouldn’t be too much to offer a few crits, would it? But yes, angel of joy is quite incredible, a more polished artist than I am, anyways.

Blitz: Hey…you’re making my head expand here. Of course I love it, but I’m not so sure this is good for me, or my ego .

Collosimo: Good to hear, good to hear. And about your crit on the linework being to dominant. I’m not quite sure how to remedy this. Do you mean have thinner lines? Less lines?

Badoli: Yeah, I probably can come off sounding like a spaz with a crazy obsession with improving my art. But to some of extent, this is true. I’ll try to pace myself .

Laemtao: Honesty my parents are pretty supportive. While they aren’t always a fan of my art subjects, they don’t mind I’m taking the course of a less traditional job. I think they recognize that this is what I really want.

Burnout: hmm, that sucks. Donno what to say.

green.7: Aye, danke. You know that dragon can do a cartwheel too, don’t you? He isn’t just a pretty face! (not even that)

Hm...I'm sure you're feeling like beating this thread with a bat by now, but here goes...

If you are concerned with learning anatomy, drawing figures, and expanding your versatility, etc., I might suggest checking out Modeling and Skinning. This might be a bit much for you right now, (not skill-wise but time-wise) but it sure as hell does help to improve your abilities in many other facets of art. Skinning can help you with rendering realistic materials and figures and also speed up the development of your style simply because you can (and are encouraged/forced to ) create so many revisions and different ideas with the same outline for each model. Modeling will seem hard at first, but to become good at it you are forced to learn to envision the anatomy of your figure at all angles. It also will help you with your figure style through the use of pulling vertices to create unique angles and whatnot on your models. If you're up to it, we would be glad to have you over at polycount and Q3W. It does take a very long time to learn, but it's also fun. Like I said, only if you feel like it:

P.S. Sorry for my oddly structured sentences and rambling...I just woke up.. and havn't toked for a while too . Worried about you're ego getting the best of you? Get rid of it! Just ingest six grams of psilocybe cubensis and hold on tight . (BTW, if you don't already know what the hell I'm talking about, don't ask. It's just a joke!)
