another new painting, would of liked more colour variation, something I need to practise. Crits and comments welcome.

i like this. i agree with you about the color variation but that desaturated style is working nicely too. hmm, is that head just a little bit too small? at least it feels to me like it if i imagine him without hair... i'm not too sure though.

thanks janne, about the head.. Maybe it could of been a touch bigger but I think its ok. The beard might be giving it the illusion of being smaller.

Hey man, this looks great. I also think that that color scheme suits here nicely. I like the way you painted the jacket and the whole guy. The hand holding the gun bugs me a little though. There's something odd in the way the fingers are twined aroung the gun handle, maybe it's the thumb..? Anyway, you're getting better and better.

Cool shit Cos...I really like this one. My only crit is to do with the hand and the gun. The gun seems unnaturally turned to the left (our left.) The way the hand is gripping the gun, it seems like the gun should be coming towards us, rather than pointing to the left. Anyways, its a really cool piece.

Hmmm, I've been looking more at the image... it's great! His grip seems abit akward to me, have a look at a real hand honding a gun from that perspective (come on, get your gun and find a mirror psycho

I love it! The guns especially look great. The mood's wonderful and the birds in the background work in favor of it.

Rhomb - Hey guy, haven't seen you around for ages, hope everything's been ok. Thanks alot, I'm glad that you liked it. Yeah I found something awkward about that too, wasn't sure it was tho... hey, post something when u get a chance!

Immi - Thanks m8, alot of people said the same thing about the gun, I agree. Decided not to redo it tho, cause I was fairly happy with how it turned out (xcept for the angle part).

Kos - Thanks Kos, yeah I agree with the crit. Unfortunately I don't own a gun to pose it in the mirror heh, what kinda guy u think I am?? only rocket launchers and chainsaws for me.
